Experience:

Rob Gillard has been a Practicing Architect in the Eastern Cape and Border-Kei regions for the past 18 years, first with Clyde Hannan Associates from 1994, before establishing his own practice in 2001, and Intsika Architects cc in 2003. As Principal Architect, Rob attends to the full range of architectural services, from conceptual design to contract administration, marketing to quality control. Experience:

Cobus began workling for Studio D'Arc in Port Elizabeth in 2009, from where he then joined Intsika Architects as a Candidate Architect under the mentorship of Rob Gillard in 2010. He enrolled with SACAP as a Candidate Architect and in 2013 qualified as a Professional Architect. In 2014 he joined Rob as a partner in the practice, forming an association geared at future success and enhancing the industry.

Melissa Pringle

Melissa started out working for Brian Coates Architects in East London in 2011, where she was initially employed as a Candidate Architect under the Principal Architect's mentorship. Melissa completed her SACAP training in 2013, and registered as a qualified Pr. Arch. In 2014 she moved to Intsika Architects, where she is employed as a Professional Architect.

Luke Masters

Experience:

Luke started working for Port Elizabeth-based Adendorff Architects & Interiors in 2008, following which he joined Intsika Architects in May of 2012 as a Candidate Architectural Technologist under the mentorship of Rob Gillard. He is currently in his 2nd year of the SACAP training records program and will be a registered Professional Architectural Technologist in 2014.

Simphiwe Kwaza

Professional Architectural Technologist / Project Manager (N.Dip.Arch.Tech)

  • National Diploma in Architectural Technology (DIT) - 2005
  • B.Tech Architectural Management (DIT) - 2008 CPD Courses (2005-2008)
  • Regular attendance at Continuing Professional Development Courses 

Experience:

Simphiwe worked for Ikamva Architects in Queenstown for the period from 2002 to 2004, and Osmond Lange Architects from 2004 to 2005. Simphiwe then moved on to Full Swing Consulting  in Johannesburg in 2006 followed by Infinitude Architects from 2007-2008. Simphiwe then joined Intsika Architects in 2008 as a Candidate Architectural Technologist under the mentorship of Rob Gillard. He has currently completed his SACAP training and is waiting to write the Professional Practice Exam, after which he will be a registered professional.

Natalie Gillard

Administration Officer

Academic Qualifications:

  • National Diploma in Personnel Management  (PE Technikon) - 1993

  • OHS Officer - 2005
  • First Aid Trained - 2005

Experience:

From 1995 to 2005 Natalie was employed by SBV Services (bank) and oversaw the Personnel function for 100 employees. Natalie went on to join Chas Everitt International Property Group as a Property Agent in 2006, and moved to her current position in Personnel Management at Intsika Architects in 2007.

Responsibilities:

  • Chairman Of Health & Safety Committee
  • Chairman of Local Employment Equity committee
  • Consolidating sign on sheet and leave forms
  • Ordering of Stationary
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office,
  • First Aid Official
  • Handling Medial Aid and Provident Fund queries.

 Natalie is responsible for all Admin related functions in the office.
