The Base's infrastructure was established +- 60 years ago, and is in need of major renovation. Current intake serves approximately 800 troops, officers and administrative staff. Through careful planning and major refurbishment the outcomes of the project aims to align the Military Base Facilities with current needs and standards to provide a safe, healthy and pleasant working environment for the occupants. Phase includes: Accommodation, Ablutions, Conversions of Hangers, Stores and Offices.

Construction of Phase 1 of the project us underway which includes 2 hostels, a dining hall, kitchen and laundry Facilities.
